CS 68, 23.5 mm. Perfect condition with “E. M. LEWIS & CO. / RICHMOND. VA.” rmdc. This rare Confederate Navy Ship button looks fantastic with very strong details. It came from a very early non dug button collection that had many buttons from battlefields picked up shortly after the war by veterans and souvenir hunters. Either way, it is a killer rare button and would totally fit in a non dug collection for less than $10,000, which is in the range of the last one I saw sold for.
