Confederate Enlistedman's Trousers.

Extremely rare, much more so than jackets. This
pair of homespun butternut trousers came straight
from a Lawrenceburg, Tennessee family. They
belonged to Private William Viser of the 9th TN.
Cavalry Battalion, Co. F. According to records, he
was captured at Fort Donelson and then imprisoned
at Camp Douglas, IL. where he subsequently died.
The trousers are accompanied by a letter from
the family. The cut of the trousers is decidedly
military as is the decorative stripe. The buttons
are bone. They are in excellent condition with the
exception of a few small holes, minor stains and
patches. I cannot emphasize what a rare survival
these are. If you have a butternut enlistedman's
jacket, you can complete a museum display.
$12,500.00
