 CSBP 1. Dug Confederate Belt Plate.
 11 Star CS oval Belt Plate that was recently dug at Thomasville, NC.
Surely left behind from Joe Johnston's dissolving army sometime right
before or after the Surrender at Bennett Place. This example is definitely
one of the most attractive out there. Although not yet washed off, you can see
that it has a nice green color through the dirt. Evidence points to these
being made at Selma, Alabama by Leech and Rigdon.

CSBP 2. Confederate Sword Belt Buckle.
Another rare 2-piece, this type is pictured on page 40 of Mullinax's
Confederate buckle book. One of the loops has a tiny stress fracture.
This is the rare solid cast version. Crude and untouched.

CSBP 3. Confederate Sword Belt Buckle.
Memphis Novelty Works a.k.a. Leech and Rigdon plain
faced two piece buckle in excellent condition. Dug in the same
 Arkansas Post camp but by different diggers. No doubt from
the same belt. This is the nicest looking one of these I have
ever seen. The green patina is simply fantastic!

Here is a perfect "Breckinridge" style stamped brass Belt
Plate that was dug in Tennessee. No repairs whatsoever.
They don't get any better than this.

Superb looking 2 piece that was dug in one of Wade Hampton's
South Carolina Cavalry camps near Dinwiddie, VA. Uncleaned
 and untouched, both pieces found 15 ft. apart.

Virginia units early in the war and were discarded because they

CSBP 24. Dug Militia Shoulder Belt Plate.
This variant is of the exact same type pictured on page 26 of
O'Donnell and Campbell's buckle book. Harry Ridgeway states
that this cast brass plate was dug near Gettysburg, PA. Most of
these oval plates are found in Confederate sites.
