Rare "Rope Border" style oval made of stamped
sheet brass. Scrap brass hooks are missing
but other than that, this is a perfect plate with
no repairs, cracks or bends. Dug near

Perfect in every regard with impeccable provenance,
this "Tennessee" style CSA rectangular belt plate
was dug by Ian Conway near Kingston, Tennessee
on November 22, 2006. It is just as dug and not even
washed off completely. This is the way I like to see
a dug relic. No repairs, no alterations at all.
