Dug Confederate belt plate.
Thick cast brass "Atlanta Arsenal" type with a
slick brown patina and no problems. This is one of
the best I have had to offer. Dug North Alabama.

What is there not to like about this 2 piece? The faking thieves still can't make one look this good.
The faster they go to hell the better. This type is
pictured on page 12 of  Mullinax's book. If these
weren't dug together, then they must have been
mighty close. No repairs, no alterations.

Excavated in 1970 by Ulie Cowart on the Malvern
Hill battlefield, this buckle has had some freeze
crack repairs but is solid and looks fine.
Mullinax letter accompanies buckle.

No repairs, bends or lead loss. Dug in the
Confederate camps at Fredericksburg, VA.

Nice looking belt with a solid cast "Army of Tennessee" C.S. belt plate.  The belt is definitely
Confederate and could very well have always been with the buckle. The original black enamel background on the buckle really provides some excellent contrast.

CSBP  14.   Georgia sword belt buckle.
Rare Confederate copy of the Northern made pre-war
Georgia Militia two piece belt buckle. Green patina
with traces of gilding. Buckle does have some repairs. Part of the belt loop on the wreath is fabricated. Great display piece.
